For my final product, I have completed a storyboard, which is almost a plan for me to follow, when producing my film trailer. The storyboard consists of shot types, directions, diegetic/ non diegetic sound etc.
When producing my trailer, I changed a significant amount of factors from my original plan off my storyboard. When being in the setting, once filming, I was brought the advantage of initial inspiration once in the location as a director, I could chose the best places for certain scenes and which shot types looked better in certain lighting and backgrounds. When filming my horror trailer, I had enough time to produce more shots than I needed, so when I was editing my trailer, I could essentially chose the best shot that would go before another. I also changed plans from my original plan as being in the location gave me new ideas which follow the conventions of a slasher horror film e.g. I recorded a shot of the group of teenagers hiding in a dark room, clearly in fear, hiding from their enemy- this shot was not on my storyboard, however once I recorded it and watched over the footage, the shot looked professional and very realistic.
